Terms governing The Bid Book memberships, labor-only pricing resources, downloads, digital business cards, and website use.
Effective Date: October 8, 2026
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of thebidbook.com, The Bid Book membership services, downloadable labor-price information, digital business cards, member profiles, and related services. By accessing the website, creating an account, purchasing a membership, or using The Bid Book services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Questions may be directed to support@thebidbook.com.
The Bid Book is a contractor and subcontractor membership service operated by Torres It LLC. The service may provide members with access to labor-only pricing information, trade-specific labor-rate schedules, downloadable member PDFs, multiple construction and trade categories, member business profiles, digital business cards, trade-network opportunities, and related contractor and subcontractor resources.
The Bid Book provides labor-only pricing information. Unless expressly stated otherwise, pricing does not include materials, equipment, permits, engineering, taxes, insurance, overhead, profit, financing, site-specific conditions, or unexpected project conditions. Members are responsible for determining their own final estimates, proposals, bids, contracts, costs, and selling prices.
Construction labor costs can vary significantly based on geographic location, market conditions, labor availability, project size, project difficulty, building conditions, scheduling, required qualifications, licensing requirements, insurance requirements, and scope changes. The Bid Book may periodically review or update labor rates, including quarterly updates. No price list can guarantee the exact labor cost of a particular project. Members must independently verify pricing before entering into a contract or submitting a bid.
Labor-rate schedules provided through The Bid Book may represent rates developed, selected, reviewed, or offered by Torres It LLC. They should not automatically be interpreted as government-mandated wages, prevailing wage determinations, universal market prices, or guaranteed subcontractor pricing unless specifically identified as such.
Available membership levels may include Apprentice, Journeyman, Master, and a standalone Digital Business Card membership. The Digital Business Card membership may be purchased without a trade-pricing category. The current membership page controls the specific price, duration, benefits, and access limits applicable at the time of purchase.
Apprentice: access to the number of trade categories identified on the current membership page.
Journeyman: expanded access to multiple trade categories as identified on the current membership page.
Master: the level of access described on the membership page, which may include access to multiple or unlimited available trade categories for the stated membership term.
Members may only access content authorized by their active membership. Attempting to bypass access controls, manipulate account permissions, share protected URLs, or gain unauthorized access is prohibited. The Bid Book may suspend or terminate accounts involved in unauthorized access or misuse.
Labor-price schedules and PDFs made available to members are licensed for the member's own legitimate business use. Members may use the information to prepare estimates, prepare proposals, evaluate labor costs, plan projects, and support their own contracting or trade business.
Members may not resell The Bid Book PDFs, publish protected price lists online, distribute them to nonmembers, upload them to file-sharing websites, create a competing pricing service using The Bid Book data, systematically copy or scrape the database, remove proprietary notices for redistribution, or share membership credentials to provide unauthorized access.
The Bid Book website, branding, logos, layouts, databases, original text, protected PDFs, graphics, software, and proprietary content are owned by or licensed to Torres It LLC, unless otherwise stated. Use of the service does not transfer ownership of intellectual property to the member.
Members are responsible for providing accurate account information, maintaining current contact information, protecting passwords, controlling access to their accounts, and reporting suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity occurring through your account unless prohibited by law.
Eligible members may receive or create a digital business card. Members are responsible for ensuring information placed on their card is accurate and lawful. Members must have the right to use any business logos, photographs, testimonials, trade names, trademarks, website content, or other uploaded materials. Published digital business cards may be publicly accessible and may be indexed by search engines.
A member may indicate that business insurance or licensing information is available upon request. The Bid Book does not independently guarantee or certify a member's license status, insurance coverage, certification, qualifications, background, experience, or legal ability to perform particular work. Customers and contractors should independently verify credentials when appropriate.
Membership may provide opportunities to participate in or be considered for work within the Torres It LLC trade network. Membership does not guarantee employment, subcontract awards, leads, referrals, project assignments, revenue, or minimum work volume. Torres It LLC retains discretion regarding contractors, subcontractors, vendors, projects, and working relationships.
Membership in The Bid Book does not by itself create an employer-employee relationship, partnership, joint venture, franchise, or agency relationship. Independent contractors and subcontractors remain responsible for their own businesses, employees, taxes, insurance, licenses, permits, safety requirements, and contractual obligations.
Members or users may be permitted to submit reviews, testimonials, photographs, profile information, or other content. You may not submit content that is false or intentionally misleading, defamatory, threatening, harassing, infringing, fraudulent, illegal, malicious, or unrelated spam. The Bid Book may moderate, reject, hide, or remove user-submitted content.
Membership prices are displayed before purchase. Payments may be processed through third-party providers such as PayPal or Stripe. You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize the applicable charges associated with the membership you select.
Membership duration, renewal terms, and cancellation options are governed by the membership terms presented at checkout and by any applicable payment-provider agreement. Members should cancel recurring memberships before the next scheduled renewal if they do not wish to continue.
Membership fees may be subject to The Bid Book's current refund policy. Because protected digital pricing information may become immediately accessible or downloadable after purchase, refunds may be limited once protected digital content has been accessed or downloaded, except where otherwise required by law. Questions regarding a charge should be sent to support@thebidbook.com.
The Bid Book may temporarily suspend new memberships, checkout, registrations, or certain features for maintenance, website upgrades, security, construction, business changes, or technical problems. Existing members may continue to receive access where technically available. Temporary suspension of new registrations does not necessarily mean the entire website is unavailable.
We attempt to maintain reliable website access but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service may occasionally be unavailable due to server maintenance, hosting outages, software updates, security issues, payment-provider outages, internet problems, or events outside our reasonable control.
Users may not hack or attempt to compromise the website, circumvent membership restrictions, share login credentials for unauthorized use, scrape protected pricing information, introduce malware, interfere with website operation, impersonate another person or business, use the website for fraudulent purposes, attempt unauthorized access to member or administrative areas, or redistribute protected member materials.
The Bid Book may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of nonpayment, fraud, abuse, unauthorized content distribution, security concerns, Terms violations, illegal activity, or misuse of the service. Suspension or termination does not automatically create a right to reimbursement where services or protected content have already been provided.
Information provided through The Bid Book is intended as a business and pricing resource. It does not constitute legal, accounting, tax, engineering, architectural, insurance, safety, or other licensed professional advice. Users should consult appropriate professionals when such advice is required.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Torres It LLC and The Bid Book do not guarantee exact pricing accuracy, profitability, project success, contractor performance, availability of projects, search-engine rankings, continuous website availability, or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Torres It LLC and The Bid Book will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or membership information, including losses arising from bid errors, pricing differences, lost profits, lost projects, contractor disputes, data loss, website interruptions, or reliance upon pricing information. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Torres It LLC and The Bid Book from claims, losses, liabilities, expenses, or damages resulting from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, your infringement of another person's rights, content you upload, or your contracting or subcontracting activities.
The Bid Book may use or link to third-party services. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. Torres It LLC is not responsible for third-party websites or services beyond its reasonable control.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be subject to applicable law and the jurisdiction of an appropriate court unless another dispute-resolution procedure is expressly agreed upon.
We may revise these Terms when services, membership plans, technology, or legal requirements change. Updated Terms may be posted on the website with a revised effective date. Continued use of The Bid Book after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those revised Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
